Anterolateral Mini-Incision Total Hip Arthroplasty

There have been substantial innovations in the methods of surgical exposure for primary and revision total hip arthroplasty. This report will detail the methods of one of the minimally invasive techniques available to the modern orthopaedic surgeon. This anterolateral method, which builds on modifications of previously performed anterolateral exposures, gives outstanding femoral and acetabular exposure thru a small skin incision and is a straightforward method that can be used on virtually any patient.
